More on my running-themed vanilla rainbow cake and Hello Kitty cupcakes

I just grabbed some photos from the recipient of my running-themed rainbow cake from the previous post. I wasn't able to get a top view picture of the cake and an inside view. Well, here they are (photos courtesy of Stephanie).

Now let's move on. Here are some Hello Kitty cupcakes that I delivered to a client this morning. 

It's a very BIG IMPROVEMENT from the Hello Kitty cupcakes almost a year ago.

I have better tools now and better technique, but for a self-taught baker/cake decorator, that first Hello Kitty cake and cupcakes aren't so bad. I've only been baking for about 5 months when I made this. Indeed, your skill improves with practice.
